Thank you Xanthos for the complement. It really was a team effort to find the arguments to convince Andrew to continue.

The difference between Andrew and Gail makes the approach more difficult as I see it. With Andrew we could appeal to his leadership and the responsibilities he carries as a part of that. With Gail we have to concentrate more on her connection to P&H and the value of teamwork with Zachary. That gives her two strong reasons to continue the investigations into the Big Tram and the ETs. I'm willing to make a similar pitch to her as I did to Andrew, but I think Bombardier should do it because she seems to respond more readily to him than me; after all, he is part of her team and I am not.

I do want to point out though that I think she was right in restraining Zachary when she did. He was WAY TOO gung ho to go after the Big Tram and may have made matters worse by chasing it as it scrambled in what could be interpreted as a fear reaction. Giving it some space, following at a discrete distance and demonstrating non-hostile intent would be the best option at this point.

I think if we both praise Gail for preventing an unintended conflict and encourage her to join Zachary in reaching out to the ETs that we may win the argument with her and get her back on track.
