"Shot towards me" is an idomatic expression that means moved quickly and suddenly.  So when Enoch said "it shot towards me until it was only .5 meters away", he meant that the beanie darted, or moved quickly and suddenly toward him, not literally fired a weapon at him.  <p>Taz
