Actually, we have already seen it. They haven't bought it at all. They don't think Gail's crazy, they think Xanthos is the codename for a hit man and that their lives were just indirectly threatened.
I think that it would be best if we just let the topic of Xanthos drop from Gail's P&H conversations all together. We can't make Gail lie to them and say she won't talk to Xanthos, but she doesn't have to tell the truth either. In fact, if she just starts talking to P&H like the last couple of transmissions never took place and starts throwing them some information, they may forget about it for a while themselves.
I would like to suggest the following for Gail to send to P&H:
"This is Gail. I have an update for you. Daniel seems to be missing. He is no longer where we left him so we are unable implement our repair attempt. Andrew and I are searching for him now. Zachary is directing the constructor and mining drones. Bette and Enoch are off exploring elsewhere."
At this point, we go for the quid pro quo. What do we want to know? I am open to suggestions.
