joule, the message you propose is very well written and diplomatic and probably would comfort the probes. However, I had an idea we might want to try first.

Rather than risking the integrity of our whole group in the "minds" of the probes, how about letting one person propose something like this:

1. Give them the whole story similarly to what joule has written.
2. Explain that we are Jose's compatriots and/or successors. We obviously like the probes and want the best for them.
3. Choose one of the probes who seems most likely to help and ask for the access and command codes. The probes are "reasoning" fairly independently now, and might just be open enough in their relationships with us to give us the codes.
4. If so, we change the codes, and share them by e-mail so the MN's don't find out.
5. If not, the probes becove defensive or suspicious, some one the probes trust like joule or Bombardier or Dr.D could come in and discredit the original poster (in #3), acknowledging the truth of the story but using something more like joule's original message to try and smooth the feathers.

I have not been talking with the probes lately, preferring to discuss issues with y'all on the boards and leave the probe comm. with others. I wouldn't mind being the sacrificial lamb if that's what we decide to do.

I will be off-line (in Tulsa) from tonight (Thursday) through Sunday afternoon. Why don't you discuss it and leave me a message on the board Sat. night or Sun.

Again, this is just a suggestion. Now let's discuss it and decide what to do.
