As JASE said, "it is the fastest way to get to the bottom of this." That is precisely what worries me. How do we get Enoch back up after he has gone down? With only 4 of 6 legs, he is not the most stable of platforms. I can foresee him having an accidental fall. I also don't see him allowing Bette to take the look when he has been in the lead the whole time.
Opening the hatch is definitely something we want to do, but not just yet. We need to devise a means of making it into a team effort where both Enoch and Bette share the "glory" of the discovery without either feeling a loss by the sharing.
