I have been wondering whether or not anyone else was going to trip over that one. In answer to the last question, I think someone once made the point that the probes were never intended to go spelunkering; therefore, they did not NEED this ability, even though it would have been nice to have. The BIG question is,
if Bette and Enoch made the modifications to allow relaying of messages, why didn't they admit it? Why say that Enoch was broken? Every question leads to MORE questions. Questions that the probes don't really seem to be willing to answer.
