Bette says: {Can we play a game now? Snake had a game, but Enoch said it was dumb. Does anyone have a
good game to play? I like games, Enoch never played with us, but he's broken.} And: {Enoch was having a problem with his transmitter. That's why he couldn't
transmit. It's better now.}

Enoch says: {I was having trouble
making my transmitter work right. Bette and I fixed it, though. It's all better now.} And: {Snake, don't you want to play with me anymore?}

Bette makes it sound like Enoch is still broken, but she says she fixed it. HMMM. She also tells us what Enoch said about Snake's game, but Enoch sounds (reads?) like he wants to play with Snake? Curiouser and curiouser.

I still say we station a probe at the cave's mouth, we need independent verification, of a probe that hadn't come into contact with a thing that tastes like a metal/not metal about what is going on.

I also thought that probes don't talk to each other, but relay it through the communcations station. If so, can we access the conversation between the probes?
