SUBJECT>**ALL** Please read before uploading commands to the probes. POSTER>Dilyn STAFF>Yes EMAIL>Dilyn@MarsDawn.com DATE>March 06, 1997 at 18:56:14 EMAILNOTICES>no PREVIOUS> NEXT> LINKNAME> LINKURL>

As the history section has explained, we communicate with the probes through a network of revamped satellite dishes, corporate and university resources, and other systems. As they are the most technologically and economically advanced areas, the majority of my network is located in the United States and Western Europe. As a result when the weekend comes to the US and Europe, most of my net becomes inopperable. The corporate resources which we normally borrow time on are powered down, university equipment time becomes harder to steal, and other similar events occur as one hemisphere of the world shuts down. Even some of the resources which are technically still useable are shut down, to prevent any possible multi-nat or government groups from tracing them. What this all combines to mean is: after Friday, we will be out of contact with the probes until Monday. They are aware of the impending signal loss, but you must compensate by giving them enough commands to last the weekend. Be aware of the length of time they will be out of contact when giving orders. Thank you.
