I agree we can't tell if daniel is able to reply or not. He may even (if they are still around) be in the hands of who ever created the caves. I must say I hope he is not damaged.
I am going to keep talking to him. If like the others he is aware of his suroundings and also has a personality, he will be feeling very alone and he will need some stability. I am prepared to do this. I don't know if this is going to help, but it can't do any harm. I have no intention f giving him ant information until we are aware of 1 where he is, 2 that he is not in the hands of "others, be they alien or other Corporations. The only thing I can think of doing is asking him to travel to a place where we know there are other probes.
