Good idea GZ I would hope that we can receive some information
about all or each of the probes from the staff. Like Dr. D. and
Dilyn as well as the others whick help assemble and program them.
Some of the questions I can think of are as follows.
(1) Apparently the have six legs. Are the extendable or telescopic
and if so how long till they extend.
(2) Grippers or claws and again can these appendages extend and
how far. Also can the leg appandages actually grip anything?
(3) weight both when built and when on the surface of mars.
(4) Capabilities to do scanning of chemical compounds, breakdown
and analysis of chemical compounds.
(5) Can they preform spectrum analysis of various rocks to break
down the elements etc.
(6) Are the probes equiped with any kind of probing device for
probing the groung in front of them?
(7) Are the probes armed in anyway for self defense or offencsive
weapons. Also are they programed to use these weapons.
(8) Can the probes iluminate or shine a spotlight or lights
and if so what is the wattage or candle power?
Maybe I'm missing something here but these questiones might be
easily answered.
They heve said they are not programed to explore a cave yet we
now have one in the cave.
I have done some caving and it is no place to make a misteak.
Very risky especally in a new cavern.
I guess these are just some thoughts and additional comments
are welcome.
Thanks
Take Care
