Snake and T make an excellent point. If we all send our messages and requests and commands to the probes "helter skelter" with no coordination, we'll have probes cruising around all over the place and accomplishing little or nothing.

So let's take a look at what we have.

Andrew:
Looking for a landing site on the NW plain. Good. He needs guidance as to the characteristics of an appropriate landing site. We should try to get back location coordinates and some images from him.

Bette:
Approaching Enoch and the cave site. We need to get these two probes to where they are working together and "like" each other. We need images, descriptions, and analyses from the cave.

Daniel:
Are we certain that Daniel ever made it to Mars? Andrew said that he had not seen another probe like himself other than Bette, Enoch, Gail, and Zachary. If Daniel is on Mars and in just not communicating, then perhaps one of the other probes can affect repairs on him.

Enoch:
Ahhh, Enoch...interesting study. Jose's friendship seems to have had a profound affect on him. The development of his "personality" seems to have occured differently from the others. He seems almost "self-conscious". It's very interesting that such a trait could spontaneously develop in a mechanistic probe. He is near Jose's cave but reluctant to enter. What does he mean by "it doesn't taste right"? We need Enoch to cooperate a little better with the other probes. How can we use his "personality quirks" to our advantage? Can one of the other probes make repairs to Enoch that will improve his functionality. (Personal note: as much as we would like to, I don't think we can spend *all* our time worrying about the cave and aliens. There is work to be done before phase two and the MN's arrive.)

Gail:
As of last note, 75 mi. from communication platform and heading toward it. "Personality" seems somewhat more immature than some of the others. Seems bent on finding landing site. Do we want her to continue her 3 day trip back to the platform or continue her explorations?

Zachary:
Hmmm, now where was Zachary?... Seems like he was somewhere near the platform. Could we use him to search for Daniel, assess damage and affect repairs? He seems well able to communicate. Can we use him to gain information about what the probes have been up to and some idea about how they have developed these "personalities"?

These are just my ideas and impressions, but I do think we need to discuss on this board what we would like to have each of the probes accomplish and perhaps form teams or at least work together for common goals.

Anybody else have any ideas???
