I'm afraid I have to burst your bubble- Daniel did not send the no data message. We put that in to keep the site neat. Daniel has NEVER responded to any communication of any sort. Even when Brace was trying to verify his activation WITH the codes there was no response.
As for circumventing the code-gates, Jose did nothing of the sort. When we talk to the probes, we are talking to them in the higher-logic test mode. We are simply interacting with their senior control program. The mode was designed to allow remote analysis of their personalities for aberrations. Normally, codes would be used to prevent them from doing anything while in this mode, but we don't have those codes either. We have the authentication codes that tell them that "we" are Earth, we don't have the codes that allow us to force them to change their priorities, or do much of anything else.
