Looks like you are already on top of what we need done, but I'm happy to overview:
1) Get probes under control. Jose never gave the Control Codes to Dilyn, so we can not send direct orders to the probes. The do what they want, when they want and don't work and play well with others.
2) Locate and prepare landing site for Stage 2. Location would likely be best near both original tranceiver platform and Alien Cave (#4 Below) so our forces are not spread too thin.
3) Prepare for arrivial of MN forces. When they land, we expect them to try to shut down or take control of the tranceiver platform, the probes or both.
4) Explore Alien Cave. Not sure what is there, but better we find out and let the world know about it than leaving it for the MN's to plunder for their own profit.
5) What did happen to Daniel? Can we repair or restart him? Can his body be used for spare parts?
The reason we (Dilyn) asked for help is that we are over our heads. The probes were not designed for all that needs to be done and we can not control them directy. It may be necessarry for us to access stratigic or tactical skills which we do not have. Heck, the MN's will (are?) watching us to learn more, perhaps we can lure in someone from their organizations to "leak" some useful data.
You asked what needs to be done - To a large extent, we don't know. Thanks for your kind offer.
