Hello, and welcome to MarsDawn. It was quite gratifying to look in on the site and see so many new faces already about. I am truly grateful for your help.
Someone asked about what I need done. Well, the simple answer is: everything. Corrdinating the communications network that keeps us in contact with the probes is, in itself, nearly a full-time job. I simply don't have the time left over to try and plan for the probes, talk them through maneuvers, reassure them, and generally do what needs to be done. The rest of the staff here is so busy with other aspects of the site or communicating with probes (except for Nimrod, who doesn't know HTML from MTV) that they don't have the time either. What I need from you, is simply that you try to guide the probes. Psychologically, they are about 10-12 years old. They're stubborn, lonely, and occasionally reckless. They have their spats, their preferences, and they're sitting on the biggest discovery in Human history. Talk to them, guide them, help them to explore. In other words, do everything I don't have the time to do. Thank you so very much. I will be around at least once more today. If you need something sooner ask Nimrod (he's got time) or one of the other staff members. They'll be glad to help you out.
Cat, you can keep your title until Ed needs to wax the floors, and then you had best get that chair out of his way!
