Ok, I'm a newbie, and I read all of the material and it was cool up till this point.
A couple things:
1.) Aren't the probes smart enough to know who to listen to? The answer is obviously 'yes', but you still feel a protective urge.
2.) Yahoo will pass.
3.) Perhaps the probes will learn more about our culture if we allow them to interact freely with the rest of the world.
4.) If they are sentient beings, what right do you have to determine who they want to speak to. It is their choice to screen out who they want.
