To start with I would like to welcome the new visitors to our site. I will not explain how the site works in this message. Just look over the site and read the history, team reports and current status to find out what the site is about and ask questions of the regulars here, I am sure they will be happy to explain.

 

Now to recap, we have just been listed at Yahoo and this has brought in a lot of new visitors to the site. With this, some of the messages have not been in good taste. And some of the messages to our probes have been confusing to them. We listed at Yahoo to bring in new people. The site needed some new members. We did not expect the large numbers that have showed up. At this time MOST are still lurkers, but we feel that may change quickly.

 

We need to take steps to protect our probes. We ARE going to control the access to them. We are going to password protect access to creating new messages to them. All of the regulars will be able to get access to them now and the new members can also when we feel that they know what is going on. And their actions are in accordance with the standards that we have here at MarsDawn. That is to say that this is a family site, and bad language is not desirable on any of the public areas.

 

To get access E-mail me ( DrD@MarsDawn.com ) and I will tell you what to do to get access to send messages to the probes. I hate that we must do this, but at this time I feel it is something we must do. Monday access to the probes will be controlled. I will send out the directions by Sunday night. After that the free access will be cut off.
