Times are changing quickly :-)

However, don't let's panic together. Till now, we've been a closed group coming from eon4. Now, the door has opened and promoted well by Yahoo. As they have put it also on their "What's new" site. I would say that it's better that way than the other way round and let's hope that more newbies will show up.

Sure, the probes will be confused at the moment. Anyway, I think they have matured quite far that we can introduce them to the new situation. But they need the help of all of us.

Sure, we need a password protection for the Probes.

Great idea to write an introduction page for newbies, Grand Zero. Especially concerning appropriate behavior. We should but that right in front of the password barrier or maybe just an adequate announcement and an link to a related site.

However, in my opinion our main concern should be to integrate newbies and not to exclude them. Let's be open minded.

Maybe Dr.D and Al-Q can install something, that also newbies can post outbounds without password but censored by Dr.D or Al-Q or any staff member.

At Probe Control there is a link that shows Inbound Image Archives. I don't think that there is an absolute need for that one over there. What's about to install instead of that a queue for Outbounds, so its open to the incidencepublic and also openly published. Dr.D or Al-Q will pick that up over there and all others are moving to Probe Discuss automatically. So nothing just can vanish by the discretion of whom so ever.

Let's handle the password incident sensible, so newbies don't feel as second class citizen. Maybe we can do it more discrete. So, who owns a password will still post at the queue but will get automatically direct access. Or let's the password incidence integrate into the story-line. The discrete version I would like even more.

Nevertheless, let's meet rising troubles as a positive challenge and let's take
concern about the newbies. I'm not in till Tuesday, but please also our professional lurkers from Area 51, please lend us a hand ...
