I just came from YAHOO! and MarsDawn is certainly prominently placed. If you're looking for this kind of site, you'll find it!
I decided to follow the link and pretend that I had never heard of the place and just do what came naturally. I clicked on the MarsDawn logo at the main page… that’s all you can do. Then I selected Probe Control since it’s the top left choice. The next page, at the top in HUGE letters you have the choice of Incoming Transmissions or Outbound Transmissions. It’s no wonder newbies are creating Outbound Transmissions. In an attempt to make the site easy for US to navigate around we’ve made it almost a requirement for a first time visitor to post a message to the probes to ask what’s going on. IMHO the Outbound Transmission mechanism just needs to be buried down a few more layers where you can’t get to it by accident. WE could still bookmark the page if we wanted but others would have to learn more about the project before jumping in with both feet. Of course, if that doesn’t work there’s always the password solution, I’d just like to try something a little less restrictive first. Just my $0.02 worth. Comments?
PEACE-THE FINAL FRONTIER!
