Perhaps password access to the "Post an outbound message" area is called for. It not be a difficult thing to implement, I think.

A single (group) password could be assigned for this area. This could be obtained by sending an e-mail to Dr.D or Al-Q. Alternatively, they could send a mass e-mail to everyone on the "Roster" with the "Outbound password". If we have trouble in the future with people giving out or "hacking" that password, then individual passwords could be obtained. In the future, new posters could send messages to the probes by posting them on the PD board and having a "MARSupial" post it for them. If all goes well for that poster, they could be added to the list and given password privileges.

I'm sure there are other security measures that could be taken. Let's hear some ideas. Staff, we probably need to hear from you what suggestions and solutions are workable.

Also, I think it's time for an instruction page for Newbies. I'll get to work on that right away if no one has objection.
