"He's not dead, he's electroencephalographically challenged."
This is akin to:
Patient was transferred to the eternal care unit, or
Patient received a Supreme Being consult.
But then there's Bombardier's Primary Rule of Emergency Medicine:
Air goes in and out,
Blood goes round and round.
Any deviation on this is considered a bad thing.
And Bombardier's Observation of Layperson's Response to Emergencies:
When in danger or in doubt,
Run in circles, scream and shout!
And the most interesting Physical Law in the Universe:
Weight is inversely proportional to altitude.
In other words, only people who weigh less than 100 pounds get sick or hurt on the ground floor of the building. If you weigh over 275 pounds and are immobilized by illness or injury, you will be on the second floor or higher, and no, there won't be an operating elevator. Call your local EMS or Fire Department for confirmation of this one.
