The bad news is that it will mean I won’t have time to actively participate here at MarsDawn. I hate that part. I’ve really been privileged to be a part of this project from its beginning. I love everything about it, especially the people. I am going to miss it more than I can say.
I haven’t been able to be very visible out front here, but behind the scenes I was always there, having the time of my life.
My having to leave is going to leave a big burden on the remaining 2 writers. There is a great deal that has to be done every day here. Nimrod has asked me to let you all know that we are going to need another writer to take my place. We thought it only right that we search among our own MARSupials first.
If you are interested in helping out as a writer, you should know that it means writing every weekday (and having your post up before 1:pm central time)and being available on some weekends for meetings. There is no pay other than the appreciation of the readers and your peers, and sometimes well deserved criticism when you mess up- believe me, they always catch your mistakes. It will be the funnest thing you have ever done, and at times the most frustrating. It will always be worth it.
