Spaceport
I've been working with the Government of Ecuador for the past year to convince them to look into building a Spaceport facility high in the Andes and on the Equator. The folks in the Embassy here in DC are really interested; they've had a spate of domestic problems over the past year, which seem to have cleared up. Day job -
Still at NASA/GSFC, working on MODIS (EOS-AM1, launching next June), Landsat 7, and Earth Observer 1 (EO-1), providing computer support as needed. Currently learning the vagarities of X-Windows programming ....
Dogs -
Working with PAW as webmaster and a foster home for dogs - we've had 50+ dogs stay with us over the past 2 years ... see http://www.access.digex.net/~rescue for our dog/cat rescue page.
Baseball -
Due to other activities, I'm no longer actively pursuing the job of Baseball Commissioner.
Anyway, there's the 60-second overview. Hope you're all having as much fun as I am!
