It would help to know the make and model of your mics and mixer.<p>As a rule, phantom power, used for condenser mics, will not burn out a good dynamic mic. It most likely will just cause a hum in the system. As for the amp. It sounds like a dirty potentiometer to me. Radio Shack has plenty of pot cleaning supplies. <p>I'm sorry I didn't get to you sooner. My server has been acting up the past couple of days. Send more info......Ratboy<br>
