Here's the procedure I followed for eating a habanero:

1) Place habanero in mouth

2) If necessary, remove stem

3) Chew

4) Scream loudly and attempt to run away from self

5) After screaming subsides, resolve to not eat anything with more than 1,000 Scoville Units of heat
