Please excuse me while I ramble for a bit...
A while back, at Eon4, there was a story of a child who found a sense of belonging, and possibly some hope, from the world of Eon4. As the story went, the child was, or felt like, an outcast.
I got the impression that she/he was physically or emotionally disfigured, or otherwise very ill. Perhaps terminally so. The story touched my heart. I want to do something to help, and the thought of that child brings tears to my eyes to this day. We have a great power to heal and help here, we only need to wield it
effectivly. I propose that, when we have worked out the structure
and details of the expanded site, we contact children's hospitals around the world, and make a place here for hope and comradeship for very sick children. We cannot guarentee a totally *safe* place here, it's a public site. But I propose that these kids would have automatic access to the "officers club", or something like it, and they would get our love and respect and protection.
I will personally pay for as many baseball caps as I can for them,
even before *I* get a baseball cap. Please help me work this idea out. I think it's important, and I think it's a real xcommie project.
