Some of the responses on this thread thus far indicate some misunderstanding of my suggeston. Please allow me to clarify with the following:
Anyone can visit and read all boards for free.
Anyone can participate in Mess Hall and Probe discussion boards for free.
For a small fee (I am thinking under $20 per year), participants can take a hand in controling the story through direct interaction with the probes.
Plus, you get a t-shirt!
I am not sure how this becomes such a heavy burden that even a student (as an example - not a slam) could afford. Heck, I've spent *that* much on a shirt alone.
My goal is to satisfy both the stated desire for t-shirts (etc.) while generating sufficient revenue to cover expenses related to growth. I am open to other suggestions to meet these goals.
