Oddly, I *did* get to sit and listen to my own funeral a couple months back ... for my 40th birthday, my wife threw me a surprise funeral in lieu of a party. Everyone wore black (except me); gravestones in the front yard (converted election signs - my b'day is a week past electons); eulogies, flowers, etc. It was a good time ....
