I could get as low as 19 minutes with:<p><br>A -- 10 min.<br>B -- 5<br>C -- 2<br>D -- 1<p><br>10 Min -- A & D cross<br>01 Min -- D returns<br>05 Min -- B & D cross<br>01 Min -- D returns<br>02 Min -- C & D cross<br>==<br>19 Min<p><br>The only way I can see to get rid of the extra two minutes is to throw the flashlight to the remaining two, but that results in 15 minutes, not 17 as stipulated. So what IS the answer?
