It sound like it shoud run faster on you system at work that the one you have at home.. But "over our corporate server" saids that it may be going thru a fire wall . But that would not explain why the other sites are better.. If it was the site that was slow then it should be slow from home also.. Can you go thru your ISP that you use at home from work to help remove that it is the way that your work sends it data thru the filewall.
