Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. First of all let me ask everyone to remain calm, this is nobody's fault. What is happening is simple. The EON-4 e-mail robot has a number of addresses in its listing. When you send a message via the robot, it relays it to all parties in the list. One of the parties in the robot's list has closed their account. This means that when the message reaches their old server, that server's e-mail robot sends a "user unknown" message to the EON-4 list robot. This robot doesn't realize what this message means, and then sends it out again, incidentally sending a copy back to the e-mail robot at the other server, which sends yet another message to the EON-4 list robot, and so on. This is going to continue until someone turns off the EON-4 robot.

A few things: (1) Do NOT use the EON-4 robot, as I know several of you have been doing. It only adds another message to this process. I know some of you have been using it, STOP NOW! I'm not blaming you, you didn't know, but you must stop doing it, you're making the problem worse. (2) I don't know about the rest of you, but my e-mail account will become effectively useless within 24 hours at this rate. Each time the message comes back from the non-EON-4 robot, it has another few lines of text added to it. This means that the message has grown in size (from 1050K to 21024(?) at last count) and will continue to do so. My e-mail system is particularly susceptible to memory problems, which this will cause shortly. If your system is similar, take whatever measures you are able. If I stop responding to e-mail shortly, that is why. (3) Calm down. I believe that Monita Lizard is at least in part responsible for administrating the robot, contact her. The rest of us are in an identical situation to yours, we feel your frustration, but we ARE powerless. The situation will be handled, but we must stay calm. for the duration of the crisis, feel free to exchange messages here on the MessHall. I'm sure of you ask Harry will offer Area-51 for a similar purpose.

Thank you for your cooperation, we will have this handled shortly. I'm sorry I had to step out of personna for a moment there, but I felt it appropriate.
